Android is an operating system running on mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets, similar to Apple’s iOS, Microsoft’s Windows Mobile. The Android company was founded in 2003 and then acquired by Google in 2005. Android device manufactures now include Acer, HTC, LG, Motorola, Samsung, etc.
