About Auntie Anne’s Font

AuntieAnnes logo

Auntie Anne’s is an American chain of pretzel shops founded by Anne Beiler and her husband, Jonas, in 1988. Auntie Anne’s serves products such as pretzels, dips, and beverages.

The logo of Auntie Anne’s was probably designed based on Utopia Black. Designed by Robert Slimbach and released by Adobe in 1989, Utopia is a serif typeface that combines the vertical stress and pronounced stroke contrast of eighteenth-century Transitional types like Baskerville and Walbaum with contemporary innovations in character shapes and stroke details.
