About Finlandia Logo Font

finlandia_vodka_logo

Finlandia is a vodka produced in Finland from Finnish-grown six-row barley and glacial spring water. The brand, now owned by the Brown-Forman Corporation, was established in 1970 by Alko, Finland’s state-owned alcoholic beverage company. A year later, the brand became the first Scandinavian vodka to be sold in the United States.

The font used for the logo of the vodka brand is News Gothic Bold Condensed, a realist sans-serif typeface designed by Morris Fuller Benton, and released by the American Type Founders (ATF) in 1908. The text “Vodka of Finland” beneath the logo is set in a slab serif named URW Clarendon.
