About League of Legends Font

League of Legends (LoL) is a 2009 multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Riot Games.

The font used for the game logo was probably designed based on Friz Quadrata, a glyphic serif typeface designed by Ernst Friz and Victor Caruso in 1973. The font is a commercial one and you can view more details about it here.

Update: A new logo was introduced before the game’s 10-year anniversary in 2019. The new logo was designed by Pentagram, featuring a modified Sharp Sans from Sharp Type.
