Mercyful Fate is a Danish heavy metal band from Copenhagen, formed in 1981 by vocalist King Diamond and guitarist Hank Shermann.

The above is the cover artwork of their fifth studio album, Into the Unknown, it is also the most commercially successful album of the band. The band name on the cover features a blackletter font which is very similar to Agincourt, or Beckett (Free), and the album title on the cover is set in a celtic style font which is probably Carolingia.
