About MetLife Logo Font

metlife new logo

MetLife is one of the largest global providers of life insurance, annuities, employee benefits, and asset management. Established in 1868, MetLife now serves approximately 100 million customers and has operations in nearly 50 countries.

In October of 2016, MetLife introduced a new identity designed by NY-based advertising agency Prophet and announced the end of its association with Snoopy and the Peanuts characters as a key element of its branding and advertising.

The new wordmark was probably created based on the Effra Medium from Dalton Maag. Notable difference from Effra includes a dot instead of a square on the letter “i”. For the previous logo font, it is Futura Bold designed by Paul Renner.
