GeForce is a brand of graphics processing units (GPUs) designed by Nvidia. The brand name originated from a contest held by Nvidia in early 1999 called “Name That Chip”. The company called out to the public to name the successor to the RIVA TNT2 line of graphics boards. The first generation processors were launched in late 1999.

The logo of the brand features a square sans serif, which, like most famous brands, was probably custom lettered. We spotted a very similar font named New Face Bold designed by Russian type designer Valery Golyzhenkov, but the font seems to be not available for sale anywhere now.
