About Oprah Winfrey Network Font

Oprah Winfrey Network logo font

The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) is an American television channel produced by Harpo Productions and Discovery Communications. It debuted on January 1, 2011 and replaced the former Discovery Health Channel (DHC).

The logo of the TV network was probably designed based on ITC Bookman Light by Edard Benguiat and FF Din by Albert Jan Pool, laying one on the other with different colors.

On October 1, 2011, the Oprah Winfrey Network debuted a slightly updated version of the original on-air logo used since the launch; in this version, the full name of the network is rendered in smaller type, while the serifs on the “W” and “N” were removed.
