Yokohama is a rubber tire company based in Tokyo, Japan. The company founded and started in 1917 in a joint venture between Yokohama Cable Manufacturing and B.F. Goodrich.

The font used for the logo of the tire company is very similar to ITC Avant Garde Gothic Medium, which is a geometric sans serif font based on the logo font used in the Avant Garde magazine. The font family currently consists of 5 weights (4 for condensed), with complementary obliques for widest width fonts.
