Communion Font

Communion is the debut studio album by English electronica trio Years & Years, formed in London in 2010. The album is scheduled to be released on 10 July 2015 through Polydor Records.

The font used for the album title as well as the group name appears to be Macula, which is a display typeface designed by Dutch designer Jacques Le Bailly. Macula is an “impossible typeface” based on the concept of impossible objects. This optical illusion was extensively explored in the 1930’s by Swedish artist Oscar Reutersvärd, and simultaneously made very famous by Dutch artist M.C. Escher.
