Couple Eye Test Chart Featuring Memphis Font
This beautiful handmade retro eye test chart is modeled on the classic Snellen eye chart, developed by Dutch ophthalmologist Herman Snellen in 1862. The chart features the couple name, date and location of the wedding and a motif on the top, with the last two lines reading ‘Love is not blind. Love sees what is most true’.
The font used for all text in the chart print is Memphis ExtraBold. Designed by the legendary German type designer Rudolph Wolf, Memphis is a slab serif display typeface that is often referred to as “Futura with serifs” and it was named after the ancient Egyptian capital of Memphis. Its block-like build makes it suitable for display usage for short text blocks like signs, packaging, advertising, and headlines.
