About EA Logo Font

ea logo font

Electronic Arts (EA), also known as EA Games, is a leading American interactive entertainment software and video game development and distribution company headquartered in Redwood City, California.

The earliest logo of the company (image below), which was introduced in 1982, consisted of three basic shapes – namely square, circle and triangle. The font used for the wordmark beneath the logo is Goudy Old Style Bold.

Following the retirement and departure of Trip Hawkins (the founder) in 1999, Electronic Arts decided to drop its old logo for a new one. The new logo (image above) includes the company initials EA, and sometimes, a wordmark beneath it. The font used for the wordmark is Albertus designed by Berthold Wolpe.
