Oslo 2022 Font

About Oslo 2022 Font

As a bidding city for the 2022 Winter Olympics, Oslo unveiled its logo on the day before the Sochi opening ceremony. The logo, designed by Snøhetta Design, is a playful combination of the letters and digits in “Oslo 2022”.

The font used for the “Oslo 2022” as well as the text “applicant city” below is probably GT Walsheim, a geometric sans serif designed by Noël Leu from Grillitype. According to the designer, the typeface is inspired by the lettering of Swiss poster designer legend Otto Baumberger from the 1930s and its warm curves and broad smile makes it good at both large and small sizes.
