Saturday Night Live (SNL) is an American late-night live television sketch comedy and variety show created by Lorne Michaels and developed by Dick Ebersol. The show premiered on NBC on October 11, 1975, under the original title NBC’s Saturday Night.

The above is the title of the TV show seen from 2012 to 2014. The title features a geometric sans serif font called Gotham Ultra, designed by American type designer Tobias Frere-Jones in 2000. In the fall of 2014, SNL introduced a new identity and title sequence for its 40th anniversary season, and the font used for the logo is Knockout 67 Full Bantamweight Druk Condensed by Berton Hasebe.
