The Bell Jar is a novel written by the American writer Sylvia Plath and published under the pseudonym “Victoria Lucas” in 1963. The novel was published under Plath’s name for the first time in 1967.

The cover of the 2005 paperback edition from HarperPerennial uses Davida for the title. Davida is a decorative type designed by Louis Minott for VGC in 1965. The author name seems to use Clarendon Bold.
