The Heroes of Olympus is a pentalogy of adventure, mythological fiction and fantasy novels by American author Rick Riordan. This series details a conflict between Greek and Roman demigods and Gaea, the earth’s personification. The first book of the series, The Lost Hero, was published on October 12, 2010.

The serif font used for the book title ON the cover is Vectis. Vectis designed by Paul James Lloyd is a small caps serif font named in honor of the Roman settlement of Britain’s south coast on the Isle of Wight and a fresh approach to the classic simple elegance of ancient Roman faces.
