About The Observer Font

The Observer is a British newspaper published on Sundays. First published in 1791, it is also the world’s oldest Sunday newspaper.

The font used for the newspaper nameplate is Antenna Condensed Black. Designed by Cyrus Highsmith and released through Font Bureau in 2007, Antenna is a sans-serif, rounded-end font family including an impressive seven weights available in four different widths, all with matching italics.
