The Recording Academy is an organization of musicians, producers, recording engineers, and other recording professionals. Formed in 1957, it is best known for its Grammy Awards.
The image above is the new logo introduced by the organization in 2018, which was designed by by Siegel+Gale. The new logo inherited the gramophone symbol from the old one but the logotype font was shifted from Trajan to Francis Gradient. Francis Gradient from Typotheque is a capital-only sans serif with high contrast of thick and thin strokes, ideal for creating strong headlines.
