Tour de France Font

About Tour de France Font

The Tour de France is an annual bicycle race primarily held in France and it was originally organised in 1903 to promote sports magazine L’Auto. The race has been held annually since then except when it was stopped for the two World Wars.

The current Tour de France logo was created by French designer Joel Guenoun back in 2002 and introduced in 2003 for the race’s 100th anniversary. The playful brush script gives it a distinctly Gallic feel, while the splash of yellow reflects the famous maillot jaune awarded to the winner of each stage. The closest font we can find for the logo is Sud France Bold designed by Otto Maurer.
