About Vivienne Westwood Font

vivienne-westwood-logo

Vivienne Westwood is a fashion brand launched by Dame Vivienne Westwood, an English fashion designer and businesswoman, largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream.

The Vivienne Westwood features an Orb, a globe surmounted by a cross, used as a symbol of monarchial power and justice. The Orb and Sceptre were used at the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. In Dame Vivienne Westwood’s case, it is said to be a satirical reference to her being the self proclaimed Queen of Fashion. For the font used for the wordmark under the symbol, it is Raphael, an Art Nouveau style display typeface published by Monotype. The font is a commercial typeface and you can view more details about it here.
