About TGI Fridays Font

T.G.I. Friday’s, now stylized as TGI Fridays, is an American restaurant chain founded by Alan Stillman in 1965.

Since its foundation, TGI Fridays has used two three logos. The first two are very consistent with differences only in colors and lettering. The first one used a western style lettering while the second logo as shown above used a sans serif font, with all letters in capitals except the letter “i”.

The font used in the first logo is very similar to TGIFriday designed by Sharkshock. The font is available in capital letters only and you can download it for free here.

Update: The company introduced a new logo on July 11, 2013. With this update, the company’s name is now styled without punctuation as TGI Fridays. The new logo was designed by Edinburgh-based TEVIOT. The font in use looks like Gotham Black from Hoefler & Co.
