About Born on the Fourth of July Font

Born on the Fourth of July is a 1989 American biographical war drama film based on the best-selling autobiography of the same name by Vietnam War veteran Ron Kovic.

The font used for the film title is Stencil D by Gerry Powell. The display serif typeface consists of uppercase letters only, with rounded edges and thick main strokes, much like a Clarendon typeface, except with breaks in the face to give it the appearance of the stenciled alphabets used on boxes and crates. It is frequently seen in army-themed displays, including the film The A-Team, the television series Private Benjamin and M*A*S*H.
