Carcassonne Font

About Carcassonne Font

Carcassonne is a tile-based German-style board game for two to five players. It was designed by Klaus-Jürgen Wrede and published by Z-Man Games.

The box art features the game’s title in Margaret Lindsay Holton’s Lindsay. The hand-drawn typeface was first licensed to Letraset for its dry transfer market in 1980. Its digital version was made in the 1990s and distributed by several major foundries until 2010 because of licensing issues. The complementary serif is Barbedor Heavy designed by Hans Eduard Meier in 1987.
