City of God Font

About City of God Font

City of God font here refers to the font used in the poster of City of God, which is a 2002 Brazilian crime drama movie based on Paulo Lins’ 1997 novel of the same name.

The font used for the movie title in the poster is very similar to Stamp Gothic designed by Just van Rossum. The title (Cidade de Deus) for the original poster is set in a different font, which resembles Block BQ Cond designed by Hermann Hoffmann. Both are available as commercial fonts and you can view details about them here and here respectively.
