H&R Block is an American tax preparation company based in Kansas City, Missouri. It was founded in 1955 by brothers Henry W. Bloch and Richard Bloch.

The font used for the logo of H&R Block is Coflax Black. Colfax is a geometric sans-serif typeface designed by Eric Olson and released via Process Type Foundry in 2012. The font family consists of a range of six weights with accompanying italics.
