About Life Itself (film) Font

life itself font

Life Itself is a 2014 American biographical documentary film about Roger Ebert, an American film critic, historian and journalist. The film is based on Ebert’s 2011 memoir of the same name.

The font used for the film title in the poster is very similar to Aleo Bold. The slab serif font family was designed by Alessio Laiso as a companion to the sans serif font family Lato by Łukasz Dziedzic.

Aleo has semi-rounded details and a sleek structure, giving it a strong personality while still keeping readability high. The family consists of six styles: three weights (light, regular and bold) with corresponding true italics. The typeface was released under SIL Open Font License. You can download it for free here.
