Mad Max is a 1979 Australian dystopian action movie directed by George Miller, produced by Byron Kennedy and starring Mel Gibson.

The font used for the movie title is probably Reporter designed by Carlos Winkow in 1938. The strokes of the typeface features the texture of dry brush written letters, and the alignment is slightly irregular, giving it a spontaneous feeling.
