Nirvana font here refers to the font used in the logo of Nirvana, which was an American rock band that was formed in Washington in 1987. The principal members included Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl.

The Nirvana logo features a smiley face and its logotype above it. The font used for the logotype is probably Poster Bodoni Compressed. Bodoni is a series of serif typefaces originally desigend by Giambattista Bodoni in 1798 and the Poster Bodoni  from Chauncery H. Griffith is a recreation for better use in posters and signs.
