John Mayer is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist born in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Paradise Valley is the sixth studio album by John Mayer, released on August 20, 2013 via Columbia Records and Sony Music.

The text on the album cover artwork features an elegant serif font named Inflex Bold. The high-contrast bold roman was designed by Monotype Design Studio in 1932, and it is very similar to counterparts in the period, which highlight a strong vertical emphasis, and a high contrast between the thick and thin strokes.
