Petals on the Wind is a novel written by V. C. Andrews in 1980. It is the second book in the Dollanganger series. The timeline takes place from the siblings’ successful escape in November 1960 to the fall of 1975.

The font used for the book title in the book cover is ITC Kabel Demi. This geometric sans serif designed by Rudolf Koch features a relatively large x-height and Kabel is named in honor of the laying of the first trans-Atlantic telephone cable.

The book was adapted into a Lifetime original movie in 2014. For the font used for the film title in the poster below, it is Bernard Gothic Medium.
