Regal Cinemas is an American movie theater chain established in 1989 in Knoxville, Tennessee and is operated by Regal Entertainment Group.

The logo of the movie theater chain features an old style serif named ITC Berkeley Old Style. The typeface was created by Tony Stan in 1983 and it is a revival of Fredric Goudy’s California Old Style typeface, which was created specifically for the University of California Press at Berkley. It is a serif font with unusually elongated descenders and a uniquely light style.
