Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, or Rogue One, is an American epic space opera film scheduled to be released in December, 2016. The film will be the first Star Wars Anthology film, centering on a group of Rebel spies on a mission to steal the plans for the Galactic Empire’s new weapon, the Death Star.

The above is the teaser poster for the film and the font used for the film title is Trajan, an old style serif typeface designed in 1989 by Carol Twombly for Adobe. The design is based on the letterforms of capitalis monumentalis or Roman square capitals, as used for the inscription at the base of Trajan’s Column from which the typeface takes its name. Trajan is one of the most popular typefaces used in film titles.
