About Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark Font

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is a series of three collections of short horror stories for children, written by Alvin Schwartz and originally illustrated by Stephen Gammell. A film adaptation was released on August 9, 2019.

The book title features manually condensed capitals from Lettres Eclatees, a rough script designed by Julie Staniland in 1988. The small serif at the bottom is Caslon Antique, which was also used for the book title on the alternate book cover. The 2019 film seems to use Janson Text 75 for the title on the poster and Requiem for the title in the trailer.
