Schecter Guitar Research is an American guitar, bass and amplifier manufacturer. Founded in 1976, Schecter was originally a manufacturer of replacement parts for existing guitars from manufacturers such as Fender and Gibson.

The font used for the logo of Schecter is very similar to Plain Germanica created by Paul Lloyd, or Fette Kanzlei created by Dieter Steffmann.
