About The Sound of Madness Font

The Sound of Madness is the third studio album by American rock band Shinedown, released in June, 2008 via Atlantic Records.

The font used on the cover for the band name is probably Penumbra Half Serif SemiBold. Designed by Lance Hidy, Penumbra is an all-capital design derived from his poster lettering-monoline forms with a blending of contemporary and traditional qualities, which has evolved since the 1970s. You can view more details about this typeface here. For the album title below, it is probably set in ITC American Typewriter.
