About The Unforgettable Fire Font

The Unforgettable Fire is the fourth studio album by U2. It was released on 1 October 1984 by Island Records, with “Pride (In the Name of Love)” as the lead single.

Bolide made by Richard William Mueller is very similar to the brush script used on the album cover. The titles on the art of the lead single used a combination of Caslon 540 Italic and Bodoni Open. Bodoni Open is a shaded variant within the extensive ATF Bodoni series, designed by Morris Fuller Benton for ATF in 1918. OPTI Bodoni Open is a digitization from Castcraft.
