About Tokyo DisneySea Font

disneysea logo font

Tokyo DisneySea is a theme park at the Tokyo Disney Resort located in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan, just outside Tokyo. It is owned by The Oriental Land Company, which licenses Disney characters and themes from The Walt Disney Company.

The font used for the DisneySea logo (serif part) is very similar to Americana ExtraBold. Designed by typeface artist Richard Isbell in 1965, the Americana font family now consists of three weights plus an italic. The typeface features high cross strokes and open inner spaces which make it highly legible even in small and very small point sizes.
