Young Miss Holmes Font

Young Miss Holmes is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kaoru Shintani. It is a mystery series following Crystal “Christie” Margaret Hope, the 10-year-old niece of Sherlock Holmes who has inherited his skills of deduction and logical reasoning, as she partakes in some of Holmes’ most famous cases.

Two fonts have been used in the title of the manga series: the “Young Miss” part features a calligraphic font which is very similar to Shit Happens designed by Billy Argel; the “HOLMES” part is set in a condensed serif named Birch, an Adobe Originals typeface designed in 1990 by Kim Buker Chansler and based on a Latin Condensed wood type found in a 1879 William Page specimen book.
