Bacardi is a family owned spirits company founded in 1862 in Santiago De Cuba, Cuba. Bacardi is known for its eponymous Bacardi white rum.
The Bacardi logo features a Mexican free-tailed bat. It is said that the founders of Bacardi found and bought a building with lots of fruit bats on the roof to start produce and selling Bacardi Rum and then his wife suggested incorporating the bat into the company logo. Beneath the golden circled bat icon is the Bacardi wordmark, and the font used for it is very similar to Perpetua Titling MT. Perpetua is a commercial typeface and you can view more details about it here.
Update: Bacardi was updated with a new logo & wordmark in 2014, which was done by Here Design from UK. The new workmark seems to be designed based on Neutraface No. 2 Condensed Titling from House Industries.
