E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is a 1982 American science fiction-family film directed by Steven Spielberg. The film tells the story of Elliott, a lonely boy who befriends a stranded extraterrestrial and helps it return home while attempting to keep it hidden from their mother and the government.

The font used for the film title in the poster is ITC Souvenir Medium ( “the Extra-Terrestrial” part ). For the “E.T.” part, it is probably custom drawn and not available as a font. Some fonts that are similar to the “E.T.” lettering are Clementine and Brushy Cre.
