Government of Portugal Font

About Government of Portugal Font

The government of the Portuguese Republic rebranded its visual identity and introduced a new logo in 2023.

The new logo, created by Studio Eduardo Aires and consisting of only three plain geometric shapes, is a simplified version of the national flag. The typography in use is Portuguesa Serif Medium, which is a bespoke font created by Dino dos Santos. The Portuguesa font family consists of four roman styles with matching italics, including Serif Light, Sans Regular, Serif Medium and Sans Bold.

Its previous logo shown below features another bolder slab serif called TheSerif Bold from LucasFonts.
