About Hanes Logo Font

Hanes is an American clothing brand founded in 1900 by John Wesley Hanes, currently owned by the HanesBrands.

The brand’s logo uses New York, which is a transitional serif created by Charles Bigelow and Kris Holmes. The typeface is a reworking on the bitmap serif of the same name designed in 1983 by Susan Kare for the Macintosh computer. It should not be confused with the New York typeface announced by Apple in 2019.
