Primal Fear is a 1996 thriller film directed by Gregory Hoblit, based on William Diehl’s 1993 novel of the same name, and written by Steve Shagan and Ann Biderman.

The title font on the poster is very similar to an Apple system font called New York. It is a transitional serif created in 1990, based on the bitmap version of the same font created by Susan Kare in 1983 for the Macintosh computer. The opening credits are set in ITC Benguiat.
