Manic Panic is a hair dye brand created in 1977 by Tish and Snooky, two of the original members of the American punk band Blondie.

The logo of Manic Panic is a slanted version of Shatter, an experimental face created by Vic Carless in 1973. The basis for the Shatter typeface is likely Helvetica Bold, which is also the typeface setting the complementary text in the logo.
