Big Lots is an American retail company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. The Big Lots chain traces its history back to 1967 when Consolidated Stores Corporation was formed in Ohio by Sol Shenk.

The font used for the logo of the retail company is Futura, with “BIG set in Futura Extra Bold and “LOTS” set in Futura Medium. Designed by Paul Renner in 1927, Futura is the classic example of a geometric sans serif type. It is a popular typeface used on a daily basis for print and digital purposes as both a headline and body font. The font is also used extensively in advertisements and logos.
