Republic Records is an American record label founded by Avery Lipman and Monte Lipman in 1995, and it was acquired by Universal Music Group in 2000.

The font used for the logo appears to be FF Bau Bold. FF Bau was designed by Christian Schwartz and released through FontFont in 2002, based on a late nineteenth century type named Grotesk. FF Bau is available in four weights with matching italics.
