East Side Mario’s Font

About East Side Mario’s Font

East Side Mario’s is a Canadian chain of casual dining restaurants. The restaurant specializes in Italian-American cuisine.

The logo uses the book and bold weights of Archer, a geometric slab serif designed in 2001 by Tobias Frere-Jones and Jonathan Hoefler for use in Martha Stewart Living magazine. It was later released by the then Hoefler & Frere-Jones for commercial licensing on typography.com. The digital foundry was acquired by Monotype in 2021 and the font is now also available for licensing at Monotype’s Myfonts.com.
