The font used for the Energizer logo is very similar to Akzidenz Grotesk ExtraBold Condensed Italic. Akzidenz-Grotesk is a grotesque typeface originally released by the Berthold Type Foundry in 1896 under the name Accidenz-Grotesk and it is one of the first sans serif typefaces to be widely used, its design influenced many later designs, especially many neo-grotesque typefaces released after 1950.
