Qatar Airways is the state-owned flag carrier of Qatar. It was established on November 22, 1993 and is headquartered in the Qatar Airways Tower in Doha.

The Qatar Airways logo depicts the head of an oryx, an antelope with very long straight horns, which is the national animal of Qatar. The humanist sans serif setting the logotype “Qatar Airways” is Hermann Zapf’s Optima Demi Bold.
