Foo Fighters is an American rock band, formed in Seattle in 1994. It was originally founded by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl as a one-man project.

The above is the cover artwork of The Colour and the Shape, the second studio album of the band, and also the debut of the Foo Fighters as a group. It was released through Capitol Records and the group’s own Roswell Records on May 20, 1997. The font used for the band name on the cover is Boxer Script JF, a retro script typeface designed by American type designer Jason Anthony Walcott.
